Cardona | Spring 2019
In this 2019 academic year, the Master of Architecture of ETSAV will focus on Cardona.
Cardona is a municipality in the region of Bages, in the province of Barcelona, with a population of about 4600 inhabitants. This municipality, is formed by two singular entities of population; Cardona and La Coromina.
The historical core of the town is developed on the top of a hill, strategic crossroads, where we can find the castle, a medieval fortress located between the Saline valley and the Cardener valley and the mountain with the exploitation of salt.
To this day, Cardona, is declared a cultural asset of national interest.
As in previous years, the course will be structured in three ways of work. Habitat, Territori and Patrimoni.
